April 18, 2017: National Technical Committee to revise standards to improve quality control for children’s toys:

In 2017, the National Technical Committee will develop two new National Technical Standards (TCVN) and revise three TCVNs to ensure the safety of children’s toys.

Understanding the complexity of this product category, the National Technical Committee TC 181 has regularly updated the national toy safety standards to be used as basis for quality control of children’s toys in the market. These standards are based on the adoption of international standards (ISO 8124) and European standards (EN 71) respectively. Within the current national standards system, there are 11 TCVN on the safety of children’s toys.
