ATPA expands into India

Welcome to ATPA, Kavita!

We are pleased to welcome Kavita Jain to the Asia Toy & Play Association (ATPA) as our Representative for India.

Based in India, Kavita will support ATPA’s growing activities across the Indian market, including government engagement, member relations, market intelligence, and industry advocacy. She will also contribute to several of ATPA’s digital initiatives as we continue to expand the services and support we provide to our members.

Kavita has over 17 years of experience across multinational corporations, the Government of India, and leading industry bodies, with expertise in government affairs, policy advocacy, regulatory compliance, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement.

At JioStar (formerly Disney), she worked closely with key ministries and regulators to advocate policy on issues impacting the media and entertainment sector, drive ease-of-doing-business reforms, obtain clearances, strengthen government relations, and facilitate business operations. Previously, as Marketing Head of the Film Facilitation Office (FFO) under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, she played a key role in establishing India’s first single-window film facilitation ecosystem, liaising across central ministries and state governments to streamline approvals and promote filming friendly policies. Earlier in her career, she managed diverse policy and industry initiatives across media entertainment, retail, luxury, sports and education sector at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

An avid board game enthusiast, Kavita is committed to strengthening industry-government collaboration, fostering a progressive policy environment, and advancing the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of India’s toys and play sector. Kavita is an alumna of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and has done her masters from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).

Please join us in giving Kavita a warm welcome to the ATPA family. We look forward to this exciting new chapter and to further strengthening our presence in India.
