Welcome to ATPA, Kavita!
We are pleased to welcome Kavita Jain to the Asia Toy & Play Association (ATPA) as our Representative for India.
Based in India, Kavita will support ATPA’s growing activities across the Indian market, including government engagement, member relations, market intelligence, and industry advocacy. She will also contribute to several of ATPA’s digital initiatives as we continue to expand the services and support we provide to our members.
Kavita has over 17 years of experience across multinational corporations, the Government of India, and leading industry bodies, with expertise in government affairs, policy advocacy, regulatory compliance, strategic communications, and stakeholder engagement.
As Associate Director at JioStar (formerly Disney), she worked closely with key ministries and regulators to obtain clearances, strengthen government relations, drive ease-of-doing-business reforms, facilitate business operations, and advocate policy on issues impacting the media and entertainment sector.
Previously, as Marketing Head of the Film Facilitation Office (FFO) under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Kavita played a key role in establishing India’s first single-window film facilitation ecosystem, liaising across central ministries and state governments to streamline approvals and promote filming friendly policies. She also contributed to key policy initiatives, including the Film Visa framework and film incentive schemes, while leading India’s positioning at global film markets such as Cannes and Berlinale. Earlier, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), she managed policy and industry initiatives across media and entertainment, retail, luxury, sports, and employment sector.
An avid board game enthusiast, Kavita, in her capacity as Head – India Chapter, Asia Toys & Play Association (ATPA), is committed to strengthening industry-government collaboration, fostering a progressive policy environment, and advancing the sustainable growth and global competitiveness of India’s toys and play sector.
Kavita is an alumna of St. Stephen’s College, University of Delhi, and holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).
